In 2020/21 MY, Kazakhstan will export about 7.5-8 mln tonnes of grains (including flour), declared the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saparkhan Omarov on August 25.

“Export strategy to stay the same and will be aimed on the maintenance of leadership on the traditional markets - Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Iran”, - he added.

S.Omarov pointed out that the harvesting campaign is progressing faster than year ago.

“As of today, farmers harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 3.3 mln ha or 21.2% of the plan compared to 2.1 mln ha as of August 26, 2019. Production volumes reached 4.5 mln tonnes so far with the average yield of 1.35 t/ha compared to 2.8 mln tonnes year ago”, - the Minister pointed out.
