According to the official statistics, Ukraine exported 709.8 thsd tonnes of wheat to Morocco in the first 4 months of the current season, compared to 393.6 thsd tonnes in the same period of 2019/20 MY, informed APK-Inform.
“This volume has already exceeded the export volume for the full 2019/20 MY (636.5 thsd tonnes). Thus, Morocco moved to the 5th place among the leading importers of Ukrainian wheat (8th place in 2019/20 MY)”, - the experts of APK-Inform said.
Suspension of wheat import tariff and necessity to cover high inner demand for wheat in Morocco are benefiting Ukrainian exporters. Usually, Ukraine and France are the main suppliers of wheat to Morocco. However, currently it is Ukrainian wheat that is in fortunate position amid sharp decline of French grain supply on drought harmed the crop.
