A Memorandum on mutual understanding on the limit volume of grain export for 2021/22 MY will contain a proportion of food/feed wheat export. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine offers to set this proportion at 60/40, declared Taras Vysotskyi, First Deputy Minister for Agrarian Policy of Ukraine within Grain Processors Forum-2021 on September 23.
“It is important for the Ministry to keep on working on fixation of the Memorandum between the state and the market participants on grain export from Ukraine. Wheat has a top priority as a feed stock for Ukrainian market. The general memorandum for this season has already been signed. We have some agreements achieved on a meeting with the representatives of the industry organizations, and we see the figures for wheat clearly. We will discuss the proportion of food/feed wheat limit volume of export again on October 1”, - he said.
The Minister added that the wheat crop exceeded 30 mln tonnes in Ukraine in 2021 that surpassed the domestic consumption by several times.
