In 2016/17 MY, Ukraine increased the exports of flour - expert
In 2016/17 MY, Ukraine supplied 401.56 thsd tonnes of flour on foreign markets (or 535 thsd tonnes in wheat equivalent), an increase of 15% compared with the previous season figures, declared the Adviser to the Chairman at Agrarian Fund PJSC, Sergei Sakirkin.
According to him, last season the export volumes of flour exceeded the previous forecast at 370 thsd tonnes.
In several months, the global market will receive the results of the global exports of flour, and Ukraine is expected to enter the TOP-lists of 5-7 leading countries-exporters, S.Sakirkin noted.
Also, he specified that in July 2017 the shipments of Ukrainian flour demonstrated the same rates as in June, despite the fact that many plants stopped for scheduled maintenance works.
