#GMD online-conference: diving into the grain market

The first day of the online conference Grain&Maritime Days — May 28 — will focus on development trends of the global grain market, as well as the market segment in the Black Sea region.

In particular, the Deputy Vice-President of the leading US investment company R.J. O'Brien, Zsolt Vincze, will provide his estimations of the global grain production and distribution.

Also, the Vice President of INTL FCStone, Matt Ammermann, will report about the exchange trading of grains in terms of the economic uncertainty.

In addition, the Managing Editor of Freight Markets at S&P Global Platts, Samuel Eckett, will tell his forecasts about formation of the sea transportation market and freight rates in the second half of 2020.

At the same time, the Head of Business project unit at APK-Inform Agency, Andriy Kupchenko, will provide the detailed information about the prospects and competition rates on the Black Sea grain market in the season-2020/21.

Also, within frames of the panel discussion, the Ukrainian agribusiness participants will talk about formation of the pattern of grain export trading in 2020/21 MY in the Black Sea region. In particular, Mykola Gorbachov (UGA), Vladimir Osadchuk (COFCO Agri Resources Ukraine), Timur Shishlov (Risoil Ukraine), and Christina Serebryakova (Atria Brokers), will talk about changes in the trading policy of countries-importers of Black Sea grains, tariff and non-tariff barriers, the impact of the currency factor, and volatility of the petroleum market on the grain trade. Also, they will discuss their expectations for the beginning of the new season and the way out of the "Great lockdown", as well as the readiness level of the seaports for the new season.
