Conference Grain&Maritime Days in Istanbul 2022 started in Turkey

The international agro-industrial conference Grain&Maritime Days in Istanbul 2022 was started. The traditional event for grain and maritime businesses is organized by APK-Inform and Interlegal.

Logistic company Astyk Trans is an exclusive sponsor of the conference. Chinese company Dingsheng that produces equipment for fat-and-oil industry sponsors the event too.

More than 200 representatives of grain, oilseed, maritime an related businesses from about 20 countries take part in the conference.

The agenda includes two market sessions and one maritime session.

Within the session “Global Grain. Global Transformation”, Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine – Trade Envoy of Ukraine will present his outlook of global multiplicative effects amid limited agricultural exports from Ukraine. Alexandre Bobylov (EMEA Agriculture at S&P Global Commodity Insights) will speak about prospects of Black Sea market and its place in the global trade. Nathan Cordier, Head of analysis at, Agritel will speak about the European and French wheat market.

Huseyin Arslan, President of the Global Pulse Confederation will tell the participants about the global market of pulses. Oleksandr Perekhozhuk (IAMO) will speak about the food price formation in the new reality of the world trade. Aaron Hanson, analysts at LMC International will present his overview of the global trends on the market of major oilseeds and vegetable oils in 2021/22 MY and reveal the prospects for 2022/23 MY.

Within the session “Turkey and Kazakhstan on the world grain and oilseeds market. Prospects of cooperation”, Veysel Kaya, independent expert of SUNSEEDMAN will speak about development of Turkish wheat and feed grains market. Yadykar Ibragimov, Chairman of National Association of Oilseeds Processors will present the Kazakhstan's export trade perspectives of the grain and oilseeds market in 2022/23 MY. Sanzhar Elubaev, President of Astyk Trans will tell the participants about the Kazakh grain market and new logistic routes for the development of export potential. Alisher Makhmudov, General Director of Central Asia Trade House will speak about the prospects of agricultural cooperation between Turkey and Central Asia countries

The maritime session “What will happen to the Black Sea shipping?” includes presentations by Nikos Marmatsouris, senior marketing manager at GAC Shipping SA, Oleg Solodukhov, founder of The Charterers, Sergey Senkevych, CEO of Selena Shipping Ltd, Karyna Gorovaya, senior associate at Interlegal (Ukraine), Alberto Batini, founding member at BTG LEGAL, Valerian Imnaishvili, partner at Interlegal (Georgia), Mehmet Dogu, partner at Interlegal (Turkey).

The experts will cover the following topics:
