In March-April of 2012, the market faced an increase of wheat flour exports from Ukraine. According to data of APK-Inform, in March Ukraine exported over 15 thsd tonnes of flour, in April 2012 - almost 14 thsd tonnes, declared Olga Pryadko, head of the grain markets department of the informational service of APK-Inform Agency, at the eleventh international conference "Grain Forum - 2012" on June 8.
The expert noted that in March KhlibInvestBud and Novopokrovskiy Center of Grain Production became the leaders of wheat flour exports, in April - KhlibInvestBud and Niva (Luganskmlyn).
O.Pryadko noted that, in general, the situation on the export market of flour in the current season became complicated by the high prices for finished goods, unrealized potential for conquering of the new markets, reducing the number of companies-exporters (medium-sized companies), the shortage of rolling stock, aggravation of the problem in November 2011, rejection of a number of contracts, more increased usage of motor vehicles.
According to the expert, Moldova remained as the main importer of Ukrainian flour. Last season Indonesia took the second place among the exporters. At the same time, the supplies to Israel also reduced. The shipments to the CIS countries also significantly reduced. The main reason for this was that Russian and Kazakh flour already held these markets.
As a reminder, on June 6, 2012, the eleventh international conference "Grain Forum – 2012", organized by APK-Inform Agency, began its work in Yalta.The event was supported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Grain Association.
The conference ended its work on June 8, 2012.
