As of October 4, all categories of agricultural households in Ukraine already harvested 49.3 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 11.7 mln ha, or 77% of the forecast. The average yield totaled 4.2 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, agrarians harvested 9.52 mln tonnes of corn throughout 1.545 mln ha (31%), with the yield of 6.16 t/ha; 76 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 58 thsd ha (86%), with the yield of 1.31 t/ha; and 143 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 76 thsd ha (85%), with the yield of 1.88 t/ha.
Also, agrarians harvested 11.5 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout the areas of 4.876 mln ha (83%), with the yield of 2.36 t/ha. At the same time, the production of soybeans reached 2.49 mln tonnes, with the yield of 2.36 t/ha, and the areas of 1.06 mln ha (67%).
As of the reporting date, Ukraine continued harvesting sugar beet, which areas already totaled 63 thsd ha or 28% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 2.7 mln tonnes, with the yield of 43.1 t/ha.
In addition, Ukraine planted winter grains throughout the areas of 4.5 mln ha, or 62% of the forecast. In particular, the areas under winter wheat totaled 4 mln ha (65% of the forecast), winter rye — 87 thsd ha (71%), and winter barley — 388 thsd ha (42%).
In addition, Ukrainian agrarians planted winter rapeseed throughout 1.1 mln ha, or 96% of the plan.
