According to data of the FAO analysts, agriculture is the key sector of economics in Morocco employing nearly 40% of labor force. Meanwhile, the stated industry share is nearly 20% of GDP of the Kingdom, and in the recent 10 years the direct investments into it did not exceed 1%. Over 50% of the funds had been invested into the country by France and Spain, meanwhile the total share of the European countries exceeds 75%.

Note that nearly 82% of the country population consider agriculture as the main source of personal income.

More detailed information on the structure of the direct investments in Morocco to be provided within the Eighth International Trading Summit: Grains & Oilseeds 2013 (March 6-7, Casablanca, Morocco).
