According to the results of the first monitorings, realized throughout wheat areas by Baltic Control Kazakhstan LLP in North Kazakhstan oblast, the condition of the fields was estimated as good, despite the increased drought weather, which is uncharacteristic for the region. In particular, the condition even improved, compared with the last year figures, reported the Deputy General Director at Baltic Control Kazakhstan LLP, Daulet Zhampeiis, during his report within frames of the international conference "KazakhGrainExport 2019" in Istanbul, on September 19.
According to him, the expected yield varied at the level of the average annual indicators. In the forest and forest-steppe zones, the qualitative indicators of wheat of the harvest-2019 matched 4-grade grain (gluten-20), in the steppe zone — 3-grade grain (gluten 24).
In the current year, the other regions, in addition to northern raions of the grain-producing region, including Karaganda, West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Pavlodar, and East Kazakhstan oblasts, were in the heat zone. In the reporting regions, for two months there were no precipitations, which affected the phase of development of grain crops and the qualitative figures of the harvest, D.Zhampeiis said.
