Currently, Kazakhstan does not plan to implement any restrictions on export of oilseeds, declared the Ministry of Agriculture.

The governmental bodies discussed the issue with representatives of business and nongovernmental organizations.

“Producers and processors gave a common opinion that the implementation of anti-competitive, non-market measures would be counter-productive, as they would negatively affect cooperation between market participants and fulfilment of signed contracts”, - was stated in the message.

The country has enough stocks of oilseeds to avoid the deficit of sunflower oil on the domestic market.

“We consider the export duty on sunflower seed export to be premature and do not plan to implement it at the moment”, - the Ministry pointed out.
