Maintenance of optimal planted area under main crops will depend on production costs per 1 ha during the spring planting campaign in 2022, declared Nurlan Ospanov, Chairman of Kazakh Grain Union within Asia Grains Oils Conferance in Qazaqstan.
“If the cost of the planting campaign increase sizably, farmers will be forced to simplify growing technologies or narrow the planted areas. It will happen if the government does not provide any additional financing, subsidies, etc. Therefore, the successful spring planting campaign largely depends on the government”, – he said.
The growth of expenses for the spring planting campaign can amount to 50-60% or even more in 2022.
