Kazakhstan exported a record 16.3 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil in February 2021/22 MY (excluding supplies to the Customs Union), the official data says.
February exports exceeded January shipments by 2.5 times. It was up 62% compared to February 2020/21 MY.
“TOP-3 importers of Kazakh sunflower oil remained unchanged so far in 2021/22 MY. Uzbekistan imported 28.3 thsd tonnes of the oil or 56% of the overall volume exported (50.4 thsd tonnes), Tajikistan – 14.6 thsd tonnes or 29% (up 73% y/y), China – 6.3 thsd tonnes or 12% (down 41% y/y)”, – analysts of APK-Inform explained.
APK-Inform forecasts export of sunflower oil from Kazakhstan in 2021/22 MY at 115 thsd tonnes, up 24% y/y. The export potential has already been performed by 44%.
