In January-August of 2020, Russia exported 19.71 mln tonnes of wheat and meslin at the general sum of 4.17 bln USD. The supplies increased by 6.4% on weight basis compared with the same period in 2019, and up 8.6% in monetary terms, declared the Federal Customs Service of Russia, on October 7.
In addition, for the first eight months of 2020 Russia exported nearly 2.72 mln tonnes of sunflower oil at the sum of 1.93 bln USD (up 36.1% on weight basis, and up 36.9% in monetary terms).
At the same time, in January-August period the export volumes of Russian mineral fertilizers totaled 21.91 mln tonnes, at the sum of 4.46 bln USD. In particular, nitrogen fertilizers volumes totaled 9.08 mln tonnes (1.61 bln USD), potash fertilizers — 5.85 mln tonnes (1.11 bln USD), and compound fertilizers — 6.98 mln tonnes (1.74 bln USD).
