According to the Customs Control Committee at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in September 2017 the exports of vegetable oils from the country broke a monthly record, and reached 8 thsd tonnes, an increase of 3.2 times compared with the same period last year, at the expense of growing of shipments of all major types of veg oils.

In particular, in the reporting period the supplies of sunflower oil on foreign markets totaled 2.2 thsd tonnes, against 0.8 thsd tonnes in September 2016, flaxseed oil - 1.8 thsd tonnes, against 0.5 thsd tonnes, and soybean oil - 1.6 thsd tonnes, against 0.4 thsd tonnes.

In addition, the exports of rapeseed oil from Kazakhstan totaled 1 thsd tonnes, whereas in the same month last season the country did not ship such product at all. In September, China and Uzbekistan became the main countries-importers of Kazakh vegetable oils, which purchased 3.6 thsd tonnes (44%) and 2.7 thsd tonnes (34%), respectively.
