APK-Inform Agency announced about holding of the international conference Middle East Grains&Oils Congress: Beirut edition, which to be held on September 18-19, in the historical and cultural center of the MENA region — Beirut, Lebanon.
The reporting event is a supplement to the traditional conference Middle East Grains&Oils Congress, which is annually held in Egypt. Within frames of the conference, the organizers will bring together representatives of the grain and oilseed market from Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan, Syria, Cyprus, etc., to discuss the trends in the agricultural trade of countries of the MENA region. The expected number of delegates totals 150-200 delegates from the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the Black Sea region.
As for the MENA region and its capacities as the key buyer on the global grain market, in 2018/19 MY the imports of wheat totaled nearly 23.8 mln tonnes, corn — 21.4 mln tonnes, soybeans — 6.2 mln tonnes, and sunflower oil — 1.7 mln tonnes.
That's why, Middle East Grains&Oils Congress: Beirut edition is the excellent opportunity not only to establish direct contacts with Arab buyers, but also to enjoy the culture and beauty of the “pearl-city” of the Middle East.
