According to APK-Inform figures, in the first half of August 2018 the Ukrainian and Russian seaports faced a decline of the bid prices for crude sunflower oil. The market operators explained the trend with the growth of the production forecasts in the season-2018/19 in Ukraine (up 11.1%) and Russia (up 1.5%). Also, the similar trend on the global soybean market brought some pressure on the prices.

As of August 16, the prices of crude sunflower oil in the ports of Ukraine decreased by 12-20 USD/t, compared with the beginning of the month, and usually varied within the range of 692-700 USD/t FOB. But in the Russian ports the bid prices declined by nearly 10 USD/t — to 680-690 USD/t FOB.

You can become acquainted with the trends and promising directions in the production of oilseeds and fat-and-oil products in the Black Sea countries within frames of the seventeenth international conference "Fat-and-Oil Industry - 2018", to be held on November 6 in Kyiv (Ukraine).
