According to APK-Inform figures, in the season-2018/19 Kazakhstan increased the exports of sunflower seed in almost one and half times — to 450 thsd tonnes.
Uzbekistan remained the key country-importer of Kazakh sunflower seed, which continued increasing the purchasing volumes of the product to load the growing domestic processing capacities. Thus, in 2018/19 MY Uzbekistan imported more than half of the whole shipped volumes of Kazakh sunflower seed.
According to Acting Chairman of the Association "Uzyogmoysanoat", Ahror Abdurahimov, Uzbekistan will continue developing the oil processing industry, and increase the imports of sunflower seed.
