In the season-2018/19, Ukraine broke a record in refined sunflower oil production — 730 thsd tonnes, an increase of 28% compared with the figures in 2010/11 MY.
At the same time, in the reporting period the exports increased in 2.6 times, and exceeded 500 thsd tonnes, which also became the maximum indicator, declared the oilseed market analyst at APK-Inform Agency, Julia Ivanitskaya.
According to the expert, the domestic consumption of refined sunflower oil by the population of Ukraine continued decreasing, therefore the growth rates of exports were much higher compared with the production.
