For the first time Ukraine is seriously considering the possibility of soybean by-products exports to Turkey. The leader in deep processing of soybeans in Ukraine “Protein-Production" company had the range of fruitful discussions with representatives of the Turkish market during the conference "Ukrainian soybean market" (May 16-18, 2012, Yalta). As a result, "Protein-Production" representatives decided to get acquainted with Turkish importers more closely via taking part in the conference Oilseeds & Oils - 2012, to be held on October 1-3, 2012, in Istanbul (Hotel Hilton Istanbul 5*).
As a main reason for the development of Ukrainian soybean by-products exports to Turkey, "Protein- Production" highlighted the expansion of their oilseed processing facilities in September 2012 to 250 thsd tonnes against 100 thsd tonnes previously. Also "Protein Production" experts emphasized the high quality of their products and personalized approach to the requirements of importers. Moreover, "Protein-Production" is operating non-stop throughout the year, and the raw materials used for processing, are purchased from the reliable suppliers only.
During the conference "Ukrainian soybean market" Mr. Ibrahim Ertekin, foreign trade coordinator of ALYANS YAG SANAYI VE TICARET LTD. STI., made the presentation confirming the feasibility of "Protein-Production"'s intentions to develop the sales of Ukrainian soybean by-products. The expert noted that Ukraine should switch to the exports of soybean meal instead of soybean in order to preserve its share on the Turkish market in the new season. Indeed, in the first quarter of 2012 imports of soybean meal by Turkey tripled to the level of 318 thsd tonnes against the same period in 2011. At the same time, imports of soybeans reduced by 20% compared to 2011.

The plant for deep processing of soybeans was founded to develop a new direction in Ukraine - deep processing of soybeans, and to launch one of the largest domestic producers of soy proteins. In 2012 "Protein-Production" starts building the elevator with a single storage volume of 60 thsd tonnes of soybeans.
