Ukrainian farmers improved their soybean cultivation techniques, declared Oleg Onishchenko, technical and complaining manager with SGS Ukraine on August 26 within Soybean and Meal market conference.
“Quality parameters of soybean improved this season. We see that Ukrainian farmers are improving their techniques starting from harvesting and ending up with transportation and loading. We see lower number of cracked grain. Usually, the share of cracked grain can be as high as 20%. It is much lower in 2020/21 MY”, - he noted.
He added that the impurity content of Ukrainian soybean had declined as well. At the same time, there were more ragweed seeds detected.
“It is enough to have one ragweed seed in a batch of soybean to get the notification”, - O. Onishchenko pointed out.
