LLC NE Terminal UPSS, the port operator, which owns the large-scale export and import bulk liquid edible products terminal in the Black Sea region, became the sponsor of the online conference Sunflower Oil: Keep on Trading, organized by APK-Inform Agency, which to be held on June 11, on the Zoom platform.
Support for the conference coincided with the significant date in the company's history — on June 11, 2020, Terminal UPSS celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The major achievement of the company is the fact that for 30 years of operation, the UPSS business actually become "family-run", since within the past years there were formed several labor dynasties at the terminal, which continue realizing the best production traditions established for many previous years, and consistently provide the high-quality services to the customers.
In 1990, Vladimir Falko founded the specialized enterprise to provide food raw materials to processing enterprises in the south of Ukraine. In 1991, the company was allocated the land plot for construction of the complex for transshipment of liquid bulk cargoes under the project of the US company Westway Trading. In 1994, the first stage of the complex, the molasses terminal, was put into operation, and in 2003 UPSS completed the construction of the second stage of the complex — the terminal for oil transshipment. Constant development is the main focus of the company operations, and in 2006, under the leadership of Dmitry Falko, UPSS started the active cooperation with international traders and making investments in expanding of the production capacities.
To date, the UPSS port complex, with the general storage volume of 185000 m3, creates the most comfortable conditions for cooperation and provides its customers with a full range of forwarding services, reservoir tank storage, and the well-developed port infrastructure: 6 reservoir tank storages with tanks of different capacities, equipped with the heating, agitation and nitriding systems; 5 railway overpasses, for simultaneous unloading of 98 cars; 5 motorway overpasses designed for 25 vehicles, adapted to work with containers; 2 motor-truck and 2 rail weigh scales; parking for 50 motor vehicles; 8 approaching railway lines; simultaneous processing of several vessels at the berths No. 2-5 of the Dnipro-Bugskiy port; working time pattern — 365 days, 24 hours; the daily discharge performance — nearly 16 thsd tonnes.
For many years on the market, the terminal already processed nearly 1`000 vessels, or 10.5 mln tonnes of cargoes.
