The analysts of APK-Inform declared in June-May, 2013/14 MY Ukraine increased grain exports to the European Union, being the key buyer.
Thus, in the stated period Ukraine exported 496.6 thsd tonnes of grain to Germany, as opposed to 179.4 thsd tonnes in July-May 2012/13 MY. Also, Ukraine increase exports to Netherlands by 79% (to 1.77 mln tonnes as opposed to 986.5 thsd tonnes) and to Italy – by 12% (to 1.53 mln tonnes compared to 1.36 mln tonnes).
Also, in the period of June-May, 2013/14 MY France imported 91.9 thsd tonnes of Ukrainian grain, compared to 80.4 thsd tonnes in the same period of 2012/13 MY.
Issues on further increase of Ukrainian grain supplies to the EU will be discussed within the first round of V Ukrainian Grain Congress, which will be held on September 8-10, 2014 in Paris.
