The President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine Andy Hunder will speak in the roundtable discussion: “Effective dialog between agribusiness and authorities”, which takes place on October 15th in the framework of the first round of Ukrainian Agrarian Congress (October 15th-16th, 2015, Kiev).
In his speech A.Hunder will focus on issues, efficient solutions to which will allow to fulfill potential of Ukraine’s agro-industrial complex. In particular, discussion will unfold around the following points: further deregulation in the agro sector, development of logistics and diversification of exports.
According to A.Hunder, shortcutting of permits and licenses within the deregulation framework will allow not only to optimize logistics, but also create pre-conditions to boosting of exports of agro produce and provide for diversification of exports destinations.
“Development of export of agro produce is a key to success of Ukraine’s economy as a whole as in the first place it generates the development of the industry and creates new jobs”, - he pointed out.
According to A.Hunder, in order to further stimulate and support growth of agro industry it is important to seriously focus on the development of logistics as well.
“We think that Ukrainian authorities should pay close attention on the improving of grain logistics, with particular focus on railways, river and sea ports,” – A.Hunder stressed.
