The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine plans to strengthen its measures aimed at fighting against counterfeit goods on the market of seeds, crop protection products and fertilizers, declared the Deputy Minister on European Integration at Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vladyslava Rutytska during her speech at the Ukrainian Agrarian Congress, October 15.
According to her, the Ministry will update the legislation to make it harder for the local markets and imports. Also, the Ministry will cooperate with the customs service, which will receive new updated laboratories, and trained staff. To date, the volume of counterfeit goods on the reporting market reaches 80%.
Also V.Rutytska noted that counterfeited products are often kept in substandard packaging.
