In 2021, Ukraine harvested record high crop of grains and oilseeds, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Roman Leschenko.
“We are completing harvesting grains, pulses and oilseeds with a record exceeding 106 mln tonnes. We have surpassed our forecast of 100 mln tonnes”, – he said.
Grains and pulses accounted for more than 84 mln tonnes in the total production, oilseeds – 22.6 mln tonnes.
He added that the year turned to be record not only because of favorable soil and climatic conditions, but also due to state support to farmers.
