According to APK-Inform, the purchasing prices of new-crop barley were formed last week in Ukrainian ports of Reni and Izmail amid the progress of the harvesting campaign.

Limited export capacities by alternative routes amid blockage of seaports and low demand from European buyers were the key factors for pricing. However, the prices were slightly supported by expected decline of barley crop in Ukraine and the world as well as small carry-overs.

The bid prices of new-crop barley for delivery in July-August totaled 170-190 USD/t CPT-port in ports of Reni and Izmail. Sometimes middleman announced prices at 120-135 USD/t CPT-port. In hryvnia terms, the bid prices totaled 5000-6000 UAH/t СРТ-port.
