By 2050, Ukraine has a real opportunity to increase grain production to 99.1 mln tonnes per year, including 41.4 mln tonnes of wheat, 43.3 mln tonnes of corn, and 14.4 mln tonnes of barley, declared the President of the Ukrainian Grain Association, Volodymyr Klymenko during his speech at the 2nd American-Ukrainian Agrarian Congress.

According to him, Ukraine has undeniable advantages in provision of the growth of the global grain production, because the country has high-quality land resources, and to date the yield potential of major crops is half-realized only. Therefore, increasing of the yield indices is the main reserve for enlargement of the harvest volumes of grains in Ukraine.

Also, foreign investors believe in the production potential of Ukraine, i.e. that the country will be able to significantly increase the production of grains, which is the important factor for complete realization of the grain potential by Ukraine, said the President of Ukrainian Grain Association.
