Intensification of production is one of the main ways to increase profits in the plant growing industry. In turn, the way is indissolubly tied to establishment of the latest achievements in the industry, including selection and seed production.

The present study examines the condition of the market of seeds in Ukraine and its tendencies. It includes 8 sections, which focus on six main agricultural crops: wheat, barley, maize, sunflower seed, soybeans, and rapeseed.

APK-Inform experts provided analysis by each region and variety of produced crop. The study specifies the market leaders for each agricultural crop.

The present study uses materials of the official statistics, data from public sources, and the market experts' opinions. In addition, APK-Inform realized sample polling of agrarians to estimate the level of seeds consumption.
