Farmers' working assets are depreciating due to hryvna devaluation, commodity stocks are cheapening amid meltdown of agricultural commodity markets, and banks are tightening their credit policies waiting for growing default cases. All these factors endangers successful performance of planting campaign in Ukraine, informed the press-service of Ukrainian Agri Council.
Thus, UAC addressed the President of Ukraine requesting not to limit export of agricultural products and just the other way round to promote exports growth as well as to postpone land market reform at least until 2021.
Farmers consider the government should prove that it will make all reasonable steps to support agricultural sector.
“The government should provide non-stop shipments through sea ports as well as ability of Agrarian Fund to buy the surplus of agricultural products out of domestic market, and promote exports via export credits.”, - UAC told.
