In Ukraine, enterprises of the agricultural and food industries will continue working during the quarantine, reported the Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, Taras Vysotskyi, on March 23.
The enterprises working in the spheres of agriculture and food industry have the critical importance for ensuring the food security, so their business activities will not be limited, T.Vysotskyi said.
As for the activities of livestock breeding complexes and processing enterprises, which should work day and night, then the authorities developed the instructions in the case of detection of a person with a coronavirus, which will be discussed with the field-oriented associations.
According to the Deputy Minister, the authorities are developing the idea of imposing the temporary round-the-clock biological safety regime at such enterprises, and other recommendations to provide the opportunity to work, because it is necessary to continue animal fattening, and it is necessary to produce food, etc.
Also, he said that to date, there are no reasons for limiting the exports of agricultural products.
