In order to prevent the further spread of coronavirus, the Russian authorities announced the following calendar week (Saturday March 28 - Sunday April 5) as the official non-work period, with complete maintaining of wages for the period, declared the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on March 25.

At the same time, the Head of State called on the citizens to keep the quarantine regime as much as possible. In addition, all public infrastructure facilities, including medical facilities, pharmacies, stores, institutions responsible for banking and financial settlements, as well as transport, and ministries and agencies at all levels, will continue working.

Also, he noted that in the current situation, the Russian Government needs to provide the maximum assistance to small- and medium-scale businesses, in particular, to defer all tax payments (except for the VAT) for 6 following months, extend the payment of their loan obligations for the same period, and announce moratorium on the bankruptcy claims by creditors against companies and on the recovery of debts and penalties.

In addition, the President suggested to set the taxable rate on the dividends transferred to foreign offshore zones at 15%. If it is necessary, the authorities will expand the list of stabilization measures, V.Putin concluded.
