Kazakhstan officially extended the state of emergency until May 1, informed the Decree "On extending the validity of the state of emergency in the Republic of Kazakhstan", signed by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In accordance with the paragraph 3 of the article 7 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the state of emergency", K.J.Tokayev resolved to extend the state of emergency throughout the whole territory of the country, imposed by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan #285 dd. March 15, until 7:00 of May 1, 2020.

Taking into account the Decree, the President also charged the Government of Kazakhstan, together with central and local government bodies, to take the necessary measures resulting from the decree.
