Kazakhstan extended the state of emergency for another 10 days

Kazakhstan extended the state of emergency, which expires on May 1, 2020, until the new date — May 11, declared the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on April 27.

Taking into account the current difficult situation in the country, as well as the proposals of the State Commission and experts, the President decided to sign the decree on extension of the state of emergency until May 11. According to law, on May 11 the state of emergency will be completed, unless the country faces a new mass outbreak of the epidemic. K.-S.Tokayev hoped that it is not going to happen.

As a reminder, the Kazakh authorities imposed the state of emergency in the country since March 16.
