Kazakhstan completed the state of emergency




On May 11, Kazakhstan completed the state of emergency, which was previously imposed in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan #285 dd. March 15, 2020. Therefore, the joint decree of the Minister of Trade and Integration #63-NK dd. April 3, 2020, the Minister of Agriculture #113 dd. April 3, 2020, and the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan #23 dd. April 3, 2020, "On imposition of the ceiling retail prices of staple food products", got repealed for the period of emergency, reported the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In order to prevent the growth of the prices of staple food products in the future, the authorities plan to use the existing tools for price stabilization, the press-service informed.

As a reminder, on April 24 the Kazakh authorities imposed the state regulation of prices, which covered such items as 1-grade wheat flour, wheat bread from 1-grade flour (mold-baked), elbow macaroni (loose), buckwheat groats (peeled, weight), milled rice (short-grain, weight), sunflower oil, beef (shoulder-full plate with bones), chicken egg (I category).
