Agrometeorological conditions were favorable for growth and development of winter crops in Ukraine in the first ten-day period of November. There were no significant decline of night-times temperatures, informed the Ukrainian hydrometeocenter.
“Average air temperature was rather high. Frosts were insignificant. Such conditions prolonged autumn vegetation of crops. Soil moisture content was favorable. Taking into account mass late planted crops, such weather conditions were very favorable for phase development of these crops”, - was stated in the message.
As of November 10, most of winter crops reached tillering period that was optimal for wintering and was close to multiyear figures.
