In the second ten-day period of November, the weather conditions were rather satisfactory in Ukraine, informed Ukrhydrometeocenter.
“The period of active autumn vegetation was prolonged for 2-3 weeks due to higher than usually temperatures. It was positive for phase development and conditions of winter crops”, -was stated in the message.
At the same time, temperature conditions of air and soil, fog and dew provided sufficient and optimal moisture content of topsoil, despite the lack of precipitation in November.
Moreover, even small rains improved soil moisture content to sufficient level in those regions where the drought was observed in early November. However, this level was lower compared to multiyear.
