Russian grain export down 60% y/y as of mid-February

Since the start of 2022 and as of February 13, Russia exported agricultural products at the general sum of 2.698 bln USD, down 17% y/y, informed Agroexport Center at the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.

Particularly, Russia decreased export of grain by 61% to 609 mln USD, while the export of fat&oil products increased by 41% to 769 mln USD, products of food and processing industry up by 26% to 309 mln USD, meat and dairy products up by 12% to 114 mln USD.

The EU remained the leading importer of Russian agricultural products (18.2% in the overall structure). It increased import of Russian products by 44% to 491 mln USD. Supplies to Turkey (14.5%) decreased by 26% to 392 mln USD. The export to China (11.5%) decreased by 51% 309 mln USD.

TOP-10 importers of Russian agricultural products included South Korea (8.5%), Egypt (7.8%), Ukraine (3.3%), Uzbekistan (3.2%), Pakistan (2.6%), Saudi Arabia (2.4%) and Norway (2.3%).
