The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations is starting to collect applications for spring crops seeds (wheat, barley, peas) to support small farmers in the frontline regions of Ukraine, the press service of the Ukrainian office of FAO reported on March 1.
“It is necessary to apply for support within the program through the State Agrarian Register (DAR). Each aid recipient will receive 2,000 kg of spring crop seeds, which will allow planting 10 ha of land. Depending on the region, farmers can choose one of three spring crops: wheat, barley or peas," the message states.
