According to the updated forecast of USDA analysts, in 2023/24 MY Ukraine will remain the leader in sunflower oil exports to the global market with a share of up to 37% (against 35% in 2022/23 MY). It is expected that about 4.5 mln tonnes of Ukrainian sunflower oil (+2%) can be shipped to foreign markets in the new season.

The expected increase in sunflower seeds production to 12.8 mln tonnes (+12%) and the relatively stable processing of this oilseed (about 11.3 mln tonnes; + 2% y-o-y) will contribute to preserving the championship in the next season, according to the APK-Inform analysts.

The volumes of soybean and rapeseed processing in Ukraine may also increase slightly and will amount to about 1.5 mln tonnes (+4%) and 0.2 mln tonnes (+18%), respectively.

According to the USDA estimates, in the world ranking of soybean oil and rapeseed oil exporters in the 2023/24 MY, Ukraine can retain 8th place.

More up-to-date information on the oilseeds and by-products market of the Black Sea region and other regions will be presented during the "VegOil Trade" conference, which will be held on June 8-9 in Rotterdam.
