As of October 9, all categories of agricultural households in Ukraine already harvested 51.2 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 12 mln ha, or 78% of the forecast. The average yield totaled 4.27 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukraine harvested 11.3 mln tonnes of corn throughout 1.8 mln ha (36%), with the average yield of 6.31 t/ha; 78 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 59 thsd ha (88%), with the yield of 1.32 t/ha; and 147 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 78 thsd ha (87%), with the yield of 1.88 t/ha.
Also, agrarians harvested 12.1 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout the areas of 5.1 mln ha (86%), with the yield of 2.39 t/ha. At the same time, the production of soybeans reached 2.8 mln tonnes, with the areas of 1.2 mln ha (74%), and the yield of 2.39 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, Ukraine continued harvesting sugar beet, which areas already totaled 83 thsd ha, or 38% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 3.7 mln tonnes, with the yield of 44.3 t/ha.
In addition, Ukraine planted winter grains throughout the areas of 5.1 mln ha, or 69% of the forecast. In particular, the areas under winter wheat totaled 4.5 mln ha (72% of the forecast), winter rye — 98 thsd ha (80%), and winter barley — 465 thsd ha (51%).
In addition, Ukrainian agrarians planted winter rapeseed throughout 1.1 mln ha, or 96% of the plan.
