Kazakhstan exported 862 thsd tonnes of grains and flour in October, including 617 thsd tonnes of wheat, 164 thsd tonnes of wheat flour (235 thsd tonnes in grain equivalent) and 9.7 thsd tonnes of barley, declared the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Uzbekistan (327.6 thsd tonnes), Afghanistan (230.3 thsd tonnes) and Tajikistan (150.5 thsd tonnes) were the main importers of Kazakh wheat and flour. Iran was the key destination for barley as usually.

Earlier, the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Saparkhan Omarov said that farmers harvested sufficient grain crop with high quality. Moreover, he added that the export strategy of Kazakhstan will remain the same despite the pandemic of coronavirus.
