Under normal weather conditions, Brazilian growers will help to ease the current pressure of soybean and corn in the international markets, Anderson Galvao, a founder and head of CELERES consulting agency, said to APK-Inform.

The expert will speak on the topic “Global soybean trade and competition from South America: struggle for markets of China and Europe” at Soybean and Meal Market conference, which will be held on August 26 in Odessa at Premier Hotel Odesa.

«An important thesis to explore in the conference is the ability of South American growers to keep expanding the production, mostly Brazilians, for both soybean and corn in the next couple of years. For 2021/22 crop season, Brazilian growers, boosted by extraordinary margins and future outlook are posed to increase the planted area with soybeans between 1.5 to 2.0 million hectares (this is almost the Ukrainian acreage for soybean in a single year). In addition, those growers will bring an extra 1.3 million hectares with corn in the second season (after soybean harvest)», - A. Galvao considers.
