Weather conditions were favorable in April. Soil moisture content improved significantly from the low level it had been at the start of the crop vegetation amid the poor precipitations in the winter period.

In April, the amount of precipitations was 1.5 times higher than the multiyear average.

“April is a key month for soil moisture provision that is essential for the yield of winter grains. Farmers are likely to harvest good winter wheat crop, close to the production of 2021. However, the production will not exceed that of the last year, as there will not be such favorable conditions as it was in spring and summer of 2021”, – the experts of NAAS said.
