Kazakhstan: market of niche grains and pulses




After reducing of wheat production, Kazakhstan seeks new prospective areas in agriculture. One of such areas is the active development of high-profitable niche crops that would have high demand on both domestic and global markets. In our article, we will examine the tendencies of this market segment in terms of oats, buckwheat and peas. Despite the fact that these crops cannot compete with the main crops in Kazakhstan it does not declines their significance to provide the food security for the country.
