From November 1 to 27, Russia shipped 4.4 mln tonnes of wheat, up by almost 1.7 times compared to the same period last year, Финмаркет reports citing the Russian Grain Union.

Director of the RGU department Elena Turina noted that the daily grain shipments decreased to 160 thsd tonnes last week compared to 180 thsd tonnes a week earlier. In this regard, she reduced the forecast for wheat exports in November from 5.3-5.5 mln tonnes to 4.9-5 mln tonnes.

"But it's still 70% more than in November 2021", – she added.

The last week, daily shipments of all types of grain decreased by an average of 20 thsd tonnes.

“This can be explained by the weather conditions last week”, – the expert commented.

E. Turina said that the export of Russian barley has grown by 44% since the beginning of the month to 453 thsd tonnes. Shipments of corn continue to decline, Russia exported 94 thsd tonnes (321 thsd tonnes) from November 1 to 27.
