For 7 months of 2022/23 MY, Afghanistan remains the leading importer of Kazakh flour. According to APK-Inform with reference to official statistics, during this period Kazakhstan exported about 920.6 thsd tonnes of wheat flour to Afghanistan. This is 30% higher year-on-year.
It should be noted that in March 2023, the shipment volume of Kazakh flour to Afghanistan was the lowest for the entire season (in terms of monthly deliveries) – 100.7 thsd tonnes (against 136.88 thsd tonnes in March 2022).
Uzbekistan is in second place in purchases of Kazakh wheat flour, far behind Afghanistan. For 7 months of the current season, 294.18 thsd tonnes of this product were exported to Uzbekistan (against 251.86 thsd tonnes y-o-y).
In March 2023, Uzbekistan imported 51.36 thsd tonnes of Kazakh flour, which was one of the highest monthly figures for the entire season (34 thsd tonnes y-o-y).
