Afghanistan remains the largest importer of Kazakh flour.
According to APK-Inform Agency, with reference to state statistics data, for 8 months of 2022/23 MY Kazakhstan exported 1.05 mln tonnes of wheat flour to Afghanistan. This is 28% higher y-o-y.
In April 2023, Kazakhstan exported around 130 thsd tonnes of wheat flour, the highest figure for the past 4 months (114.4 thsd tonnes in April 2022).
The top three importers of Kazakh flour also included Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, but the volumes of deliveries in these directions were several times lower – about 341 ths tonnes and 47 thsd tonnes respectively.
