As of August 24, Ukraine harvested grains and pulses from 6.531 mln ha (60% of the plan), producing 28.769 mln tonnes with the average yield at 4.4 t/ha, reported the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
In particular, there were harvested:
- wheat – from 4.65 mln ha (100%), with production at 21.94 mln tonnes and yield 4.72 t/ha;
- barley – from 1.484 mln ha (99%), with production at 5.766 mln tonnes and yield 3.89 t/ha.
Also, as of the reporting date, Ukraine continues to harvest peas – current production amounts to 385.64 thsd tonnes (2.5 t/ha). Herewith, the harvesting area is 154.02 thsd ha, which is 3% higher than the forecasted (150 thsd ha).
As of August 24, in Ukraine, millet was collected from 821 thsd ha (10%), producing 14.42 thsd tonnes (1.76 t/ha), buckwheat – from 1.98 thsd ha (1%), producing 2.92 thsd tonnes (1.47 t/ha), rapeseed was harvested from 1.389 mln ha (97%), producing 3.985 mln tonnes (2.87 t/ha).
