Ukraine planted spring grains and pulses throughout 7.71 mln ha
As of June 2, 2014, agrarians of Ukraine already has planted spring grains and pulses (taking into account maize) throughout the areas of 7.71 mln ha, or 96% of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
At the same time, on the same date last year Ukraine planted grains and pulses throughout 8.203 mln ha.
In particular, Ukraine planted maize throughout 4.777 mln ha (97%), buckwheat – 135 thsd ha (82%), millet – 93 thsd ha (85%), rice – 10 thsd ha (42%).
Also, sunflower seed planted areas reached 4.468 mln ha (98%), soybeans – 1.648 mln ha (98%).
